the only thing i will personally say about ah censoring themselves and all the backlash coming from them saying no:

this is bigger than people’s triggers. yes, a lot of ah’s viewership are females and yes, a lot of them realize rape is wrong. and yeah, a lot of them can look past the rape jokes.

but this isn’t “protect me so i don’t freak out.” i mean, some people may think like that, but censoring the rape jokes and sexist jokes would only be for the better.

you guys seem to be forgetting that the main demographic for male gaming youtubers are boys. usually dudebros who will jump at the chance to call you a fag if you mess up once in halo. the kinds of guys who are young, ignorant, and make rape/sexist jokes.

if one guy from ah responded to a sexist joke “dude, that’s not cool” or even changed the subject, those dudebros in their audience would eventually question why they won’t talk about bitches belonging in the kitchen.

this isn’t about the “sensitive girls.” this is about teaching the ones (boy or girl, 12 or 42) who don’t know why it’s wrong why it’s fuckin wrong. that may be one less potential rapist to worry about.
